Building a gameroom

Our garden at the beginning of this adventure.. the side panels which divided it from the neighbour gardens are already removed..

I've dug 5 days and ended up with a mountain of sand.
Luckily I can store it in the neighbours garden !

And even more sand, in the end we've used more than 100 bags is the construction !
And yes, I had to carry them one by one through our house into the garden..

Everything is ready for the concrete..

What a relief this sight was, 2 trucks in our street, one with the concrete and the other with a pump.. there was no way back now !

No way to go through or around the house, so over it went..

Building was slow, mostly because the weather didn't cooperate.. too much rain and still too cold..

..but finally it got finished ! What a relief this was !

Finishing the inside almost took even more time than building the outside walls.. there's a lot of insulation all around, and an inner wall is made of blocks of 'autoclaved aerated concrete'.

Finally the inside walls were finished and painted, time to start working on the floor. It'll be made out of stone carpet. I'm glueing the design in place..

Finally.. time to set up the games !
