Russ Jensens' Pinball Troubleshooting Guide
Author: | Russ Jensen |
Year: | 2009 edition |
Pages: | 50 pages, softcover |
Russ Jensen wrote this pinball repair book back in 1988. The initial run of 500 sold out a long time ago. He continued to sell photocopies later on when there weere new requests. Russ passed away in 2007. As there was still demand for this book, Dennis Dodel made this limited 100 piece run in 2009.
The book is about how to troubleshoot electro-mechanical pinball machines. It's mostly an explenation on how to read schematics and apply this knowledge. Don't expect this to be a book that explains 'The flippers don't work on my machine, how do I fix this?'. This book will learn you how to understand the operation of all mechanical machines, how to read schematics, and apply all this knowledge to troubleshoot any type of issue. But the logic thinking and troubleshooting, is up to the reader.
Similar EM repair books are written by Henk De Jager. This book can be best compared to the dutch book about how to read schematics. Henks book about EM game repair is more in detail about the specific types of games and how to troubleshoot specific mechanisms and issues.
